![]() The breakfast is really just some pre-packaged items, but that worked fine for me for a grab and go to hit the road exploring. I found the staff to be helpful/friendly. The hotel itself: the pool looked a little worse for wear, so I skipped it, but I did see people using it. There wasn't a lot of noise in the room despite being in a fairly busy area - a definite plus. ![]() The linens and pillows were nice and comfortable, the bed was great. I had a room with a hot tub and it was fantastic for the price. The room: very clean, well kept, everything worked great. Make sure before you travel that you have an inside room reserved, overlooking the parking lot. I wouldn't generally recommend the hotel because of the location and the 'balcony' rooms but for one or two nights it is OK. And obviously because of the area, the hotel had wisely opted for a gated parking lot, which felt secure. Sadly, because of the physical location, there was nothing of interest within walking distance. Despite our initial concerns, this turned out to be a comfortable two night stay. Some brighter colors in a different finish would have really made a big difference! The included breakfast was good, offering both hot and cold food. Clearly the hotel has undergone some upgrades and improvements, but the choice of a glossy grey paint makes the whole place feel enclosed and institutional - like a hospital building. ![]() We were impressed that the room included a full fridge/freezer combo, so we were able to re-freeze our ice packs. It overlooked the parking lot at the back of the hotel, and proved very quiet and comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful when we told him that the room would not work, and he found us a first floor room with access from the main corridor in the building - the way you'd expect to access a hotel room. This was more in keeping with the oldest-style of motel room, not a hotel. It was dark and looked out onto the very busy road. The first room we were offered was a 'balcony' room where the access was from the outside of the building via a walkway on the second floor. The hotel is in an industrial-looking part of the city, and located directly on the 101 route.
